Ayr and District Model Fly In 2016 best one yet !

ADMF (Ayr and District Model Flyers) hosted a model fly in on Saturday  May the 14 2016 on be half of the SAA organised by Tom Laird and what a cracker it was. There was a large turn out of model aircraft with there pilots from the east cost to the central belt and west coast this was probably due to the terrific weather that the south west of Scotland was having during the week of the event. The club was lucky to have some of the best flyers from Scotland turn up along with the usual club flyers. For the first time the club had sport Jets turbines flying from our site and a very large Jet turbine provided for our entertainment displayed by Ian Nicol. His brother Alistair Nicol and his son turned up with a range of models, Alistair flying a large twin engine scale Catalina and large twin engine Mosquito. both aircraft rare to be seen flying at our site as we don't often see twin engine models flying at our site. Alistair's son also flew a large  Extra 3D and showed us all how it should be done. Richard Copeland and Ally Young from the Glenluce club turned up and gave us a Fine display with a large edge and half scale Pitts Special. Our club member and display pilot Simon Mc Neil turned up with a large scale WW 2 Mustang and gave us all a thrilling display. We are looking forward to next year and hope to see you here.
